University of South Florida gives talks on benefits of pursuing an international degree through the USIL CGE
Representatives of the University of South Florida spoke to students from USIL partner schools about the advantages of pursuing an international degree and how they can do this through the Center for Global Education (CGE) at Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL).
On May 2nd and 3rd, Jacqueline Nelson and Jacqueline Reck, Senior Director and Associate Dean of the University of South Florida`s MUMA College of Business respectively, met with students from Cambridge College, Magister, Markham and San Ignacio de Recalde (SIR) to talk about the Business Administration program at the University of South Florida.
They also informed the students of the possibility of earning an Associate of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree while attending classes at the CGE without leaving Peru. Currently, students are able to choose one of two concentrations: International Business and Marketing.
Following the talks, the speakers participated in a Bulls Business Network meeting at the Business Tower Hotel with over 30 graduates of the first through fifth graduating classes of the University of South Florida Business Administration program. In an atmosphere of camaraderie, the students had the opportunity to share academic and professional experiences they`ve had since graduation.
It is important to note that students who decide to pursue an international degree through the CGE obtain degrees from universities in the USA and England, without the high cost of travel and living expenses abroad. They attend classes taught by instructors from the international universities and Peruvian teachers certified abroad.
The curricula are the same as those used at the partners universities, and classes are taught entirely in English, so students receive an international education on the USIL campus in Lima. Upon completion of two years of studies in Peru, students obtain an Associate of Arts from Broward College that enables them to work or to complete their studies for a bachelor`s degree by transferring to one of the partner universities in the USA, for which purpose the CGE helps them select the most suitable option.
