1. Register for a CGE Information Meeting

You can either call or visit us. Feel free to bring your parents, and ask as many questions as you want. CGE office hours are Monday to Friday, from 08:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.


2. Take the Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT*).

This is required for every student seeking admission to the CGE. To take the exam, please follow the steps listed below:

a) Contact the CGE Office to register.

b) Review the study guide for the PERT exam at:

c) On the day of the exam, remember to bring your ID.


3. The CGE office will send you your results via e-mail.


4. Once you have passed the PERT exam:

a) Send us the Program Application Form found at: We will also need official transcripts from every secondary school you have attended.

b) The CGE office will schedule your interview with the Director of the CGE.

c) At the end of the interview, the Director of the CGE will let you know whether you have been accepted.


5. Once you have been accepted, bring the following to the USIL Admissions Office:

a) Personal information form completed online, printed and signed (available at:

b) Official transcripts from all five years of secondary studies (original).

c) Oath of Honor, printed and signed (available at:

d) Photocopy of your national identify document/passport.

e) Original Police Clearance Certificate (applicants age 18 and over).


*Note: there is no cost for taking the PERT. Applicants may take the PERT up to two times each semester.
